Firman Allah hari ini:

“Orang yang jujur dipimpin oleh ketulusannya…”
‭‭(Amsal‬ ‭11‬:‭3‬ ‭TB‬‬)

Bagaimana menjalani hidup dipimpin oleh ketulusan hati (integritas)?

# DALAM HATI SUDAH BERTEKAD-BULAT UNTUK MENURUTI FIRMAN ALLAH

Daniel bertekad untuk tidak menajiskan dirinya…”
(Daniel 1:8 BIMK)

Kehidupan Daniel di Alkitab beri teladan bagaimana mengatasi situasi amat sulit, apakah mengikuti kebiasaan dan gaya hidup yang melanggar aturan firman Allah atau menuruti petunjuk firman-Nya ? Alkitab mengatakan bahwa Daniel “bertekad untuk tidak menajiskan dirinya…”
Dengan kata lain, DANIEL TELAH MEMUTUSKAN (membuat ketetapan bulat) sebelumnya: bahwa ia akan berjalan dengan integritas, bahwa dia tidak akan berkompromi. Dia bertekad untuk tidak akan membiarkan apa pun di dunia ini merampas atau mencemari hubungannya dengan Allah.

Bersama anugerah Allah kiranya kita mau membuat keputusan seperti yang dilakukan Daniel, sehingga tidak sesuatu yang boleh mencemari hubungan kita dengan Allah. Kita harus memutuskan terlebih dahulu bahwa apa pun yang kita lakukan di dunia ini, kita mau menuruti petunjuk dan perintah firman Allah, dan menolak untuk mengikuti gaya hidup yang bertentangan dengan firman-Nya – kita pilih berjalan dengan integritas, apa pun yang akan terjadi.

“Janganlah ikuti norma-norma dunia ini. Biarkan Allah membuat pribadimu menjadi baru, supaya kalian berubah. Dengan demikian kalian sanggup mengetahui kemauan Allah — yaitu apa yang baik dan yang menyenangkan hati-Nya dan yang sempurna.” Amen.

How to live and be guided by integrity?

# IN YOUR HEART, DETERMINED TO FOLLOW & TO OBEY GOD’S WORD

“But Daniel was determined not to defile himself …”
‭‭(Daniel‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Daniel in the bible shows us how to deal with a very difficult situation, whether to follow habits and lifestyles that violate the rules of God’s word or to obey the direction of His word? The Bible says that Daniel “determined not to defile himself…”
In other words, HE HAD DECIDED (made a firm resolution) beforehand: that he would walk with integrity, that he would not compromise. He was determined not to let anything in this world rob or pollute his relationship with the living God

With God’s grace may we make the same decision as Daniel did, so nothing shall rob or pollute our relationship with God. We must decide first that whatever we do in this world, we will obey the direction and commands of God’s word, and refuse to follow a lifestyle that is contrary to His word – we choose to walk with integrity, no matter what happens.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Amen.
