Daily Bread: Godly Characters

😇 Shalom to all.
Firman Allah hari ini:

“Benih yang jatuh di antara tanaman berduri adalah seperti orang yang mendengarkan ajaran Allah, tetapi DALAM KEHIDUPAN SEHARI-HARI, mereka ditimpa rasa khawatir, godaan mendapat kekayaan, dan kesenangan hidup yang lain. Akibatnya mereka TIDAK pernah MENGHASILKAN BUAH YANG MATANG.”
‭‭(Lukas‬ ‭8:14‬ AMD‬‬ )

Waspadalah, sekalipun kita sudah mendengar pengajaran firman Allah, ‘DALAM KEHIDUPAN SEHARI-HARI’ orang kristen bisa ditimpa rasa khawatir, tergoda dengan mengejar kekayaan, dan tergoda dengan kesenangan hidup yang lain, sehingga orang itu tidak menghasilkan karakter yang matang.

Ya Tuhan, bersama pertolongan-Mu saya mau menghasilkan karakter ilahi yang matang dalam hidup saya. Saya membuka telingaku
untuk mendengar terus pengajaran firman Allah. Mampukan saya dan tolonglah saya mengalahkan tekanan rasa khawatir, godaan mengejar kekayaan, godaan mengejar kesenangan hidup yang lain. Amin.

“The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they GO ON THEIR WAY (or DOING DAILY ACTIVITIES), they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature (NO MATURE-FRUITS) .”
‭‭( Luke‬ ‭8:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬ )

Beware and be wise, even though we have heard the teaching of God’s word, ‘IN DAILY ACTIVITIES” Christians can be overcome by worriness, tempted by the pursuit of wealth, and tempted by seeking other pleasures of life, so that person would not be able to produce a mature character.

O Lord, with Your help I want to produce mature and godly characters in my life. I continue to open my ears to hear the teaching of God’s word. Enable me and help me overcome the pressure of worriness, the temptation to pursue wealth, the temptation to pursue other pleasures of life. Amen.
